General Upper Secondary Education
Posio High School offers post-comprehensive general education, which prepares students for studies at universities and universities of applied sciences, among other options. For foreign applicants, a selection test is organised to test Finnish language skills.
During upper secondary studies, you can choose to take up to 30 credits in ceramics or physical education.
Apply to Posio High School in the joint application procedure that takes place in late winter and early spring. If you are applying with something other than a basic education certificate issued by a Finnish school, you will be invited to a selection test, which will determine your language skills and motivation to study.
This service is free of charge.
The education is provided free of charge. Textbooks can be borrowed from the school library. Upper secondary students receive laptops from the school, which they can claim as their own after three years of study.
You can apply to Posio High School if you have completed comprehensive school or have completed studies equivalent to comprehensive school elsewhere (e.g. abroad). The minimum average grade requirement for Posio High School is 6.5. For foreign applicants, a selection test is organised to test Finnish language skills.
