Posio Library

Posio Library’s digital tutor will help you use online services, computers and smart devices. The guidance focuses on the basics of information technology. This service is free of charge.

Interlibrary loan services are provided in collaboration between libraries. Through Posio Library, you can request an interlibrary loan of materials not available in the collections of the Library of Lapland network.

Library Services for children and young people

At Posio Library, you can also use the library independently, when the staff are not present. 

During the self-service hours you can enter the library with your library card and the pin code provided with it. You can borrow and return library material using the loan machines. During self-service hours, you have access to all the library facilities and materials, except the storage room and sports equipment. You can use a computer and the Virtu service point. Printing and digitisation services are not available during the self-service hours. 

You can get the pin code for your library card from a member of library staff when you visit the library in person. Please remember to bring some ID with you. 

Children under 15 years of age may only use the self-service library with the consent of their guardian. Self-service access is intended for personal use only. Unauthorised persons may not enter the Library during self-service hours.

The Virtu service point is located in the meeting room of Posio Library and is an easy-to-use and free-of-charge digital service that helps local residents to carry out various administrative tasks.
